It’s time for another DIY Dog Treat!  Today we are making DIY Peanut Butter Pie for dogs since it’s Shelby’s 9th Birthday!  Shelby can be a very picky eater since she is a #Diva, so we wanted to create something out of all of the ingredients that we know she likes! This is the DIY dog treat we came up with for today!

DIY Peanut Butter Pie for Dogs

Ingredients

1 cup Organic Peanut Butter
1 small container of Plain Greek Yogurt
1/4 Cup Whipped Cream Cheese
1 Tablespoon of Coconut Oil
1 Tablespoon of Honey
6 Graham Cracker Crusts
Optional Toppings
Frozen Banana Slices
Crushed up Dog Treats

Directions

In a small bowl mix together peanut butter, yogurt, cream cheese, coconut oil, and honey. The mixture will be about the consistency of frosting! You can easily do this by hand, or with a beater. Once all of your ingredients are mixed, take 1 large spoonful and place it inside of the graham cracker crusts.  You can smooth it out with the spoon or your finger so that it fills in the entire crust.  You also have the option of making your own mini crusts for this recipe.  Either way will work!  This next step is optional.  We know that Shelby enjoys frozen bananas, so we decided to slice up a few and put them on top of the mini pies.  We also crushed up some dog treats and sprinkled that on top!

Our dogs are the best helpers when it comes to making treats!  One you are all done, you have a few options.  We found that trying to remove the pie from the mini tins caused it to fall apart.  I would suggest placing them in the refrigerator or freezer to help make everything a bit more solid, and then remove the pies from the tins.  As you saw in the video above, I have to mash up Oakley and Memphis’s food anyway because they eat so fast, so my dogs got semi squashed pies.  But they should look about like the photo below when they are all finished.
