DIY Dog Fruitcake
Ingredients
1 1/4 Cup Wheat Flour
1 1/2 Cup Dried Fruit (I used Pineapple, Cranberries, and Papaya)
1/4 tsp Baking soda
1/2 tsp Cinnamon
2 Eggs
1 Cup Milk
1/2 Tbls Molasses
Directions
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. In a large bowl, mix together flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and 1 cup of the dried fruit. Set aside remaining dried fruit for later. In a small bowl, mix together eggs, milk and molasses. Now slowly add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients. Now, there are a few different options for this. You can use a bread pan, muffin tins, or whatever you would like your cakes to be shaped like. I choose to use a paw shaped muffin pan. Grease whatever pan you use with a Non-Stick Cooking spray. Spoon your batter into the pans to about 2/3rds full. Add remaining fruit on the top! If you use a pan like I did, you can also sprinkle some fruit in the pan before you add your batter so that the tops of your bread is colorful as well.
Bake in the oven for about 15 – 20 minutes. When they are done you can use the toothpick trick. Poke it with a toothpick and when it comes out dry, they are done!
Don’t forget to share this with your friends so they can make it with their dogs! Let us know in the comments what type of treat you want us to try making next time! I think they are ready to get snacking!
