DIY DOG TREATS FROZEN FRUIT SALAD KONGS

Today we are going to have some fun making DIY Fruit Salad Kong filling treats!  Our dogs LOVE their Kongs, and it’s great to be able to change up the things we will them with.  Peanut Butter is a great, simple thing to put in a Kong, but I think after a while, the dogs get bored with it.  So today they are going to try Fruit Salad Kongs!

Fruit Salad Kong Dog Treat
Just a few simple ingredients to make your dogs happy!

You only need a few simple ingredients to make these delicious treats for your dogs!
INGREDIENTS:

  •  Bluberries
  • Bannana
  • Apples
  • Plain Greek Yogurt (or Plain regular Yogurt)
  • Peanut Butter (for the cork!)

And of course, you need a Kong!  Buy a Kong here: http://amzn.to/1XpSQkP (affiliate link) .  Basically what we are going to do is layer the inside of the Kong.  First, you will want to cork the bottom of the Kong (the small hole), with a bit of peanut butter.  This will make it so the filling doesn’t fall out of the bottom.  Next, toss a few blueberries in, then add a spoonful of yogurt. Then toss a few chopped apples in, and another spoonful of yogurt. Now add a few chopped bananas, smash them down a bit, and then (you guess it), another spoonful of yogurt!  Place your Kong into the freezer for at least 4 – 6 hours until they are frozen, and that’s it!  A simple, healthy, fun treat for your dogs!  This makes a great summer treat to help keep them cool on those hot days!
