I was nominated by my dear friend Karen from YouTube.com/OjibwaKennels for the 2014 Cold Water Challenge!  Now, for those of you who do not know what it is, the Cold Water Challenge is a fad that is going around Facebook where people basically dare other people to jump in icy cold water.  If you do it, you can nominate other people.  If you don’t do it, you are supposed to donate anywhere from $10 – $100 (depending on which instructions you read) to a charity of your choice. Can you guess which one we did?

I was not as crazy as Karen, and I decided this was the perfect excuse to donate to one of our favorite charities, the Hairy Houdini Husky Rescue .   We donated $100 to their rescue. They are working to raise $10,000 to help build a new Snow Dog Shelter!  Their shelter was damaged last year in the storms and they are in dire need of a new one.  We started a GoFundMe Page at http://www.gofundme.com/snowdogshelter to help them raise their funds!  And YES, all of the money donated at that site goes directly to HHSHR.  The checks are mailed directly to them!

So do us a favor, donate if you can, and if you can’t, at least share this post with your family and friends!  Maybe someone out there can drop a few bucks for a good cause!
